Ford offers some really cool technologies and features with their new line of trucks.
-The 4.2” LCD Productivity Screen shows fuel economy, towing information, trip computer, off-road data and settings by steering wheel controls.
-The 2011 F150 incorporates a fully electronic power steering system.
Effortless and silent, zero maintenance, electric steering.
Fords EPAS System (Electric Power-Assisted Steering)
Speed sensitive electric power assist, light and responsive at low speeds and less assist at high speeds for more road feel and overall control.
With 'Pull Drift Compensation'
that can adjust for pulls and drifting from crowned roads and high winds.
Best of all no more horsepower robbing, whining, power steering pump running off the engine accessory belt.
-6 Speed Electronically Controlled Select Shift Automatic Transmission
The range select setting allows you to limit the use of upper gears.
The full manual setting on the shifter lets you select your gear. The dashboard display will show your selected gear, lock the torque converter and hold that gear.
-Fords F150 Personal Safety System
In addition to front seat airbags it has front side-impact airbags and a Safety Canopy System adding side-curtain airbags for front and rear outboard passengers.
All six airbags are standard equipment on all 2011 F150 models.
Add the high strength safety cage and AdvanceTrac with roll stability control and you have one safe fortress of a truck to keep you and your passengers protected.
-The door to safety and performance hinges on a Ford.
